Yellow Wallpaper Pictures is a woman-owned production company based in both Los Angeles and New York City. We make films that explore family, memory, and identity. Our work toys beyond naturalism to invite audiences to search for the truth in the magical and the magical in the truth.
As we created our first film, Bodies of Water, we developed a site specific style of working that almost channeled the story from the space and worked largely with what was already present on location. It is our goal to refine this approach as we continue to produce new work. We strive not only to make beautiful and moving works of art, but also to evolve the creation process. We believe how a film is made is as important as the final product. It is our goal to bring empathy, joyfulness, and spontaneity on set allowing the multidisciplinary artists on our team to bring every facet of their craft to the work.
